Jyoti Sohar Switchgear LLC (JSS LLC) is an Omani manufacturer of medium-voltage (MV) switchgear established in 2000 as a joint venture between Jyoti Ltd. (India) and the OMZEST Group (Oman). Based in the Sohar Industrial Estate, the company manufactures medium-voltage switchgear, relay and control panels, and electrical distribution solutions for utilities, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects across Oman.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will support the design, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of medium-voltage switchgear and electrical distribution systems while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, IEC standards, and company quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop medium-voltage switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and bills of materials.
• Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing drawings.
• Coordinate with production teams to support assembly, wiring, testing, and quality inspections.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), routine testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure products comply with IEC standards, customer requirements, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of electrical components.
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and test certificates.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in switchgear manufacturing, power distribution, or industrial electrical systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protection relays, and IEC standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and project-driven environment.
