ECE Teacher

Large group daycare located next to skytrain in Surrey is looking for a mature fun ECE teacher to join our team for at least 4 months for a maternity leave, however could become permanent with the organization. We have 37 children from the age of 3 months to kindergarten age and enjoy our large yard and building. We are looking for candidates who are fine with working until close 5pm-530pm

Applicants must have child care experience and hold a valid ECE license. Wage will depend on childcare/management experience. Must pass criminal check and have current First Aid certificate.

· Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times

• Knowledge of licensing regulations
• Implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
• provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
• Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with facility manager
• Model good hygeine habits and participate in daily cleaning schedule
• Likes to have fun with the children

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
