Early Years Educator

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years Educator to work for a family run childcare service in Waterford. We are committed to providing a high quality service to all the families in our care.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum QQI level 5 in childcare and have a drive to provide high-quality and best practice standards in relation to all aspects of childcare and early learning.

Requirements

• A minimum or equivalent to a QQI Level in Early Education and Care.
• 2 Written References required
• Experience although not essential would be an advantage
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of Siolta and Aistear
• A love of working with under 3’s
• Living in Ireland and available for interview
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Be a good team player and uses their own initiative .

Responsibilities

• To be able to communicate positively and be able to solve problems and situations in the same manner .
• Participate in the development and delivery of curriculum .
• Participate in child observations
• Attend staff meetings.
• Create positive learning environments .
• Build good, open communication with children, families, and staff
• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe
• You will be working as part of a team of dedicated professionals with a child centred approach

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Waterford, County Waterford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 (required)
