The Alfred Podiatry Service is offering a graduate role with a difference.
The Department
The service includes outpatient and inpatient treatments with a strong focus on wound management and comprehensive care. We are able to support staff to develop specialist competencies in endorsement for scheduled medicines, vascular podiatry, and other specialist skills with support from experienced senior clinicians. The Podiatry staff work in collaboration with many other hospital departments to provide a high standard of clinical care in line with the latest evidence-based practice. There is a strong focus on continuing professional development, regular clinical supervision for all staff and research projects are encouraged.
The Role
The Grade 1 Podiatrist, with the support of supervising Podiatrists, will be responsible for providing a high standard of client/patient centred care across a variety of patient cohorts, including inpatients and outpatients of The Alfred. This will be achieved through the application of competent clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation of treatment and management. The Podiatrist will be flexible in service delivery models adjusting to the needs of inpatients and ambulatory care patients. This position involves working as a member of multidisciplinary services across all sites of Alfred Care Group and being flexible as the services evolve.
