DRIVER CUM SITE SUPERVISOR – RACKS \& SHELVES
Job Description:
The Driver Cum Site Supervisor is responsible for safely transporting materials, tools, racks, shelves, and equipment to and from project sites, while also supervising the installation and site activities related to storage racks and shelving systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly for material and equipment transportation.
- Deliver racks, shelves, steel materials, tools, and other project items to customer sites.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of materials and ensure proper handling to prevent damage.
- Coordinate and supervise site workers during rack and shelving installation.
- Check site measurements, layout, levels, and installation requirements before starting work.
- Ensure racks and shelves are installed according to approved drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Monitor workers and ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with customers and site representatives regarding delivery, installation, and site requirements.
- Maintain proper records of delivered materials, quantities, and installation progress.
- Report material shortages, damages, site issues, or installation problems to the management.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and safe during and after installation.
- Assist with basic assembly, drilling, fixing, leveling, and adjustment of racks and shelves when required.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned site works.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Follow UAE traffic regulations, company safety procedures, and site safety requirements.
- Carry out other duties related to transportation, site supervision, rack installation, and company operations as assigned by management.
Required Skills:
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Experience in driving and site supervision.
- Knowledge of racks, shelving systems, steel structures, or warehouse storage systems.
- Ability to read basic measurements and understand installation layouts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to supervise workers and manage site activities.
- Responsible, punctual, safety-conscious, and physically fit.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
