We are seeking a dynamic Director of Clinical Project Management to lead high-performing teams across EMEA and drive the successful delivery of complex, multi-regional clinical programs.
Role Overview
In this senior leadership role, you will provide strategic direction and operational oversight to Clinical Project Management teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to shape delivery strategy, proactively manage risks, and ensure consistent execution across global studies. Alongside delivery excellence, you will play a key role in developing talent, building capability, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to Project Lead and CPM teams, ensuring alignment with organizational and client expectations
- Oversee the delivery of clinical studies from initiation through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and financial performance
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members, driving engagement, performance, and career growth
- Drive operational excellence through strong project oversight, risk identification, and mitigation planning
- Monitor project metrics and dashboards, ensuring accurate reporting and timely escalation of risks or issues
- Partner cross-functionally to manage resourcing, priorities, and study challenges across global programs
- Ensure consistent application of SOPs, tools, and best practices across teams
- Act as a key liaison with clients, providing guidance on clinical development strategies and delivery approaches
- Identify development needs and implement targeted training and capability-building initiatives
- Contribute to corporate initiatives, acting as a cross-functional leader and change agent within IQVIA
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field
- Extensive experience in clinical project management, including leadership of complex, global or multi-regional studies
- Strong knowledge of clinical research regulations, including GCP/ICH and operational best practices
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams in a matrixed, global environment
- Demonstrated success delivering programs on time, within scope, and budget
- Strong business acumen, including oversight of project financials and performance metrics
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
