About this opportunity We're searching for an experienced building surveyor to join us in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our new multi-disciplinary service and be the first member of the team in Ireland.
This isn't starting from scratch - we've set the foundations for you, with existing workstreams in Dublin ready for you to take on across a range of projects and technical surveys. With support from your wider team, and guidance from service leads, this is a opportunity to build from a stable platform, develop the local service and create a dedicated Dublin building surveying team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Supporting service leads to achieve business objectives; + Positively engaging with customers - developing, growing, and maintaining business relationships; + Providing high quality building surveying services, ensuring deliverables meet customer requirements; + Managing building surveying commissions, such as surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice and construction projects including feasibility design, contract administration, handover and post completion reviews + Preparing and managing planned maintenance programmes; + Agreeing with your director and client selection of appropriate sub-consultants to support commission delivery and appointing them in line with approved procedures + Providing sound professional advice to both clients and project team members; + Ensuring all quantitative and financial information has been independently checked before issue, maintaining evidence of independent checks; + Remaining in the remit of your role. When additional responsibilities required of you, conduct this in a fully informed manner with the approval of your line manager; + Leading and managing your teams, ensuring they are correctly fulfilling their project functions, providing mentoring and coaching when required; + Preparing bids for services; + Managing service delivery for profit.
