WHAT WE WILL DO TOGETHER
The DWT Expert is a technical specialist responsible for the delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of Digital Workplace services within the Italy Business Unit.
The role ensures that workplace infrastructure, end user services, network connectivity, and collaboration technologies operate reliably across office, plant, and remote locations, supporting business continuity and employee experience in line with DTPS and DWT standards.
The DWT Expert acts as a local execution lead for central initiatives, while contributing actively to Agile teams and cross functional programs.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Workplace Infrastructure & Resilience
- Support data center and disaster recovery activities, ensuring alignment with backup processes and audit requirements.
- Manage server rooms and IT equipment rooms, including:
o Power supply and protection
o Cooling and environmental controls
o Physical access management
- Participate in server deployment, regeneration, and decommissioning activities across Italian sites.
Network & Connectivity Services
- Provide network support and management, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN services.
- Support network device lifecycle activities (switches, access points) and contribute to regeneration and stabilization initiatives.
- Support IT/OT convergence locations, coordinating on site SmartHands activities for manufacturing and warehouse environments
- Contribute to advanced connectivity solutions where required by business continuity or site constraints.
End User & Workplace Services
- Manage and support end user devices, including PCs, peripherals, and related workplace technologies providing IT Lounge services where applicable
- Support mobile device services in alignment with central standards.
- Manage and support collaboration technologies, including meeting rooms and shared devices.
- Oversee print and copy services, including vendor coordination and service optimization.
- Support telephony and collaboration services used by the Business Unit.
- Ensure the asset inventory database (CMDB) is kept accurate and up to date.
Business Enablement & Operations
- Provide on-site and remote IT support for business events, townhalls, leadership meetings, and large scale internal or external events.
- Act as a local technical reference for workplace related incidents, changes, and rollouts.
- Ensure service continuity and rapid stabilization during incidents affecting workplace technologies.
- Coordinate with vendors, third parties, and DTPS platform teams as required.
- Ensure workplace technologies are operated in line with corporate cybersecurity policies, GDPR, and audit requirements.
- Support vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives in collaboration with central teams.
- Preparing clear documentation in English and the local language.
Ways of Working & Governance
- Actively contribute as a member of Agile Teams (e.g. Digital Workplace, Network Operations, Distributed Computing).
- Execute work in alignment with DWT and DTPS operating models, processes, and priorities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at service quality, resilience, and employee experience.
Scope & Impact (Italy / BU Context)
- Supports multiple locations (offices, plants, depots) within Italy.
- Works in close collaboration with:
o DWT Manager
o DTPS platform teams
o Local business stakeholders
o External vendors and SmartHands
- Plays a key role in local adoption of central initiatives and in stabilizing workplace services critical to BU operations.

ARE YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
Technical Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Digital Workplace roles.
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent is considered as a plus
- Hands on exposure to:
- End user device management
- Workplace collaboration and telephony services
- Server and IT equipment room operations
- Network services (LAN/WLAN/WAN, VPN)
- IT Service Management Processes and tools (ServiceNow knowledge is considered as a plus)
- Security Operations
Professional Skills
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to balance day to day support and transformation activities
- Ability to work effectively in Agile and cross functional environments
- Strong coordination skills with internal teams and external partners
- Clear communication skills in a business facing IT role
- Good English proficiency (both written and verbal)
- Strong customer focus and the ability to act as a trusted IT partner for the business
- Availability upon call and for exceptional business needs outside ordinary working hours is requested
- Skilled in stakeholder management, maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Working effectively with colleagues from different countries and cultural backgrounds
- Adapting communication style to diverse audiences
- Managing escalations professionally and diplomatically
