Dentist SCI Huntingdon (Parttime)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on providing consistent and compassionate dental care to the inmate population at SCI Huntingdon. You will work closely with auxiliary staff while maintaining a reliable weekday schedule. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:

• Patient Care: Deliver basic dental exams and treatments for individuals in the facility
• Clinical Assessment: Evaluate oral health needs and determine appropriate treatment options
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with auxiliary staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Record Maintenance: Document dental findings and update patient records accurately
• Preventive Education: Guide patients on healthy oral care practices
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement appropriate dental treatment plans

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Part-time employment, up to 30 hours per week * The work schedule is to be determined. You will not be required to work weekends. * Eligible for full retirement benefits as early as age 55 * Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness * Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. * Hourly rate:* In some cases, the hourly rate may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING \& ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:* Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. * Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Special Requirement:* You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.

Other Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. * PA residency requirement is currently waived* for this title. * You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:* You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
