Job Description

Rabbit Hill Family Dentistry is looking for a Full-Time Dental Administrator to join our friendly, growing, and patient-centered team in Edmonton.

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and personable individual who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be confident communicating with patients, detail-oriented, and committed to providing an exceptional patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

As an important part of our front office team, you will work closely with our dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants to ensure the practice runs smoothly and our patients feel welcomed and well cared for.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage patient inquiries
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Confirm and manage patient appointments and recall schedules
  • Process payments and assist with account inquiries
  • Process and submit dental insurance claims and predeterminations
  • Assist with direct billing and insurance-related questions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Coordinate treatment appointments and follow up with patients as needed
  • Communicate treatment plans and financial information clearly to patients
  • Assist with daily administrative and front-office tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure an efficient patient flow
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area

Qualifications

  • Previous dental administration experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, and dental billing is an asset
  • Experience with Open Dental is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while being a positive team player
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service
