Dental Lab Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology, as well as the skills necessary for dental fabrication. This role is essential in supporting dental professionals by creating high-quality dental appliances and restorations that meet patient needs.

Duties

• Fabricate dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances based on specifications provided by dentists.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols throughout the fabrication process to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of all procedures performed.
• Collaborate with dental professionals to understand patient requirements and adjust designs as necessary.
• Utilize dental software systems, such as Epic, for managing patient information and tracking progress.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and create appropriate restorations.
• Proficiency in dental fabrication processes and techniques, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Familiarity with medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures.
• Experience working in a dental office setting, providing insight into daily operations and patient care.
• Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles when fabricating appliances for younger patients.
• Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of infection control standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
