Position Overview:

As a Dental Assistant at Dentistree Family Dental Clinic, you will work alongside our experienced dental professionals to provide exceptional patient care. You will play a crucial role in assisting with dental procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic, and contributing to a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Dental Procedures:
  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms for dental procedures.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing instruments, materials, and other necessary support.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
  • Prepare and mix materials for dental fillings, impressions, and other procedures.
  • Patient Care and Comfort:
  • Ensure patients are comfortable and at ease during their visit.
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have regarding their care.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
  • Clinical Support:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment notes and X-ray documentation.
  • Order and maintain dental supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with patient flow and ensure timely treatment delivery.
  • Keep track of patient appointments and follow-up care.
  • Team Collaboration and Administrative Support:
  • Work closely with the dentist, hygienists, and other dental professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Support the dental team with additional administrative duties as required, such as managing patient files and preparing treatment plans.
  • Help with patient scheduling and managing the front desk when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) with certification from an accredited program.
  • Experience with ClearDent software is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, sterilization techniques, and infection control standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A positive, professional attitude with a strong focus on patient care.
