JOB DESCRIPTION – DRIVER

ROLE PURPOSE

To ensure safe, timely, and professional transportation of products, staff, and

equipment while maintaining company standards, vehicle safety, and excellent

service behavior.

JOB SUMMARY

The Driver is responsible for delivering products (flowers, chocolates, cakes,

merchandise), transporting staff for events and operations, and maintaining

assigned vehicles in excellent condition. This role represents the company

outside the store, so professionalism and punctuality are critical.

KEY DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Delivery

• Deliver orders accurately and on time
• Handle products carefully (cakes, flowers, chocolates)
• Maintain correct temperature \& packaging safety
• Confirm delivery with customer
• Collect proof of delivery (signature/photo)
• Handle cash-on-delivery (if assigned)
• Escalate delays immediately

2. Staff \& Event Transportation

• Transport staff for:

– Events

– Pop-ups

– Corporate functions

• Follow pick-up and drop schedules
• Ensure staff reach on time
• Support logistics during events

3. Vehicle Care \& Maintenance

• Perform daily vehicle inspection
• Check:

– Tyres

– Brakes

– Lights

– Fuel

• Keep vehicle clean inside \& outside
• Report breakdowns immediately
• Follow servicing schedule

4. Safety \& Compliance

• Follow UAE traffic laws
• Drive defensively
• No mobile phone while driving
• Zero tolerance for speeding
• Wear uniform \& ID
• Follow company safety policies

5. Documentation

• Maintain:

– Trip log

– Fuel records

– Delivery records

• Record incidents

6. Customer Interaction

• Greet customers politely
• Maintain professional language
• Never argue
• Report customer feedback

7. Asset Protection

• Ensure no product damage
• Protect company vehicle
• Prevent theft or misuse

8. Discipline \& Conduct

• Report to duty on time
• Inform supervisor of leave
• Follow roster
• Maintain grooming
