Job Summary
We are looking for a caring, responsible, and energetic Daycare Assistant/Nanny to support teachers in providing a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate should be patient, attentive, and passionate about caring for young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Assist teachers during classroom activities, meals, and nap time.
- Help children with toileting, diaper changing, handwashing, and other hygiene routines.
- Feed and supervise children during snack and meal times.
- Comfort and care for children when they are upset or unwell.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic classroom and daycare environment.
- Clean and sanitize toys, furniture, and learning materials regularly.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up activities and play areas.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play.
- Encourage positive behavior using gentle and respectful guidance.
- Report any accidents, illnesses, or concerns to the teacher or management immediately.
- Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding policies.
- Support children in developing good manners, independence, and social skills.
- Assist with arrival and dismissal routines.
- Perform other duties assigned by the management.
Requirements
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of child care and hygiene practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English .
- Physically fit and able to lift and assist young children when needed.
- Patient, caring, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
