Data Privacy and Cyber Security Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Privacy and Cyber Security Specialist with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding our digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing our cyber resilience across all business operations.

Duties

• Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats and incidents across systems, networks, and applications.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing; recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve security policies, procedures, and standards in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and SIEM tools.
• Investigate and remediate security breaches, incidents, or anomalies, including root cause analysis.
• Support risk assessments and audit activities, including internal reviews and external compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.).
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training and promote a strong security culture across the organization.
• Work with IT and development teams to embed secure coding and system configurations from the start.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, tools, and technologies in the cybersecurity landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology
• Professional certificate in information security or
• Professional certification in information security audit
• Ability to vaticinator potential threats based on current trends in cybersecurity.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
