The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to join a high-performing delivery team supporting a large-scale enterprise data migration initiative.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing, developing, and delivering complex data migration solutions across multiple source and target systems. You will lead a small migration squad while remaining actively involved in ETL development, data analysis, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in SQL Server technologies, strong expertise in SSIS development, and a proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-scale data migration projects. Experience in healthcare or CRM migration environments, particularly Salesforce Health Cloud, will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a small data migration team.

Design, develop, and maintain data migration solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Develop and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects to support migration activities.

Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) across multiple source and target systems.

Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and technical teams to understand migration requirements and define migration strategies.

Develop data mapping specifications and transformation rules to ensure accurate migration outcomes.

Perform data cleansing, profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities throughout the migration lifecycle.

Investigate and resolve data migration issues, discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data through comprehensive testing and validation processes.

Support migration rehearsals, cutover planning, production deployments, and post-migration activities.

Monitor and optimise ETL processes, SQL performance, and migration execution efficiency.

Develop and maintain migration documentation, technical specifications, reconciliation reports, and operational procedures.

Collaborate with project managers, business teams, and technical stakeholders to manage delivery timelines and risks.

Provide production support and troubleshooting during critical migration and deployment activities.

Experience troubleshooting migration defects, data discrepancies, and ETL performance issues.

Experience leading technical teams or providing technical leadership within project environments.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or related Salesforce platforms.

Experience delivering healthcare, government, or enterprise-scale data migration programs.

Knowledge of data profiling and data quality assessment techniques.

Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and integration technologies.

Experience with migration planning, cutover management, and deployment support.

Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance considerations within migration projects.
