About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to help protect the bank's information systems, digital banking platforms, networks, and customer data. You will monitor security events, respond to cyber threats, implement security controls, and support regulatory compliance while working closely with IT and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, networks, and applications for potential cyber threats.
• Investigate security incidents and support incident response and recovery activities.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security testing, and coordinate penetration testing.
• Review security logs using SIEM tools and escalate critical security events.
• Support cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into systems, applications, and digital banking services.
• Assess cybersecurity risks related to new technologies and third-party vendors.
• Prepare security reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and security best practices across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT security, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, firewalls, EDR, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security technologies.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PCI DSS, and SWIFT security controls.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
