Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing security team. This role is critical in monitoring, analyzing, and strengthening our cybersecurity posture to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Threat monitoring: Detect and respond to potential security incidents in real time.
• Vulnerability assessment: Conduct regular scans and recommend remediation strategies.
• Incident response: Investigate and resolve security breaches promptly.
• Policy enforcement: Ensure adherence to security policies and compliance frameworks.
• Collaboration: Work with IT, network engineers, and management to implement security solutions.
• Continuous improvement: Stay updated on emerging threats, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with cloud security, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
• Understanding of compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, NZ Privacy Act).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
