Job Description

This position has a comprehensive role focusing on managing and overseeing the end-to-end aspects of corporate applications. This includes applications related to HR, finance, procurement, and other relevant business areas. This is in terms of suggesting and assessing new tools and services, aligning these initiatives with business strategies, driving their implementation and maintaining operational standards and performance metrics.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for the effective and efficient possession, implementation and use of corporate applications such as HR systems, financial software, procurement tools, and other business-related applications.
  • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align application strategies with overall business goals specially for the end users’ leaders of assigned applications and applications department management.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of corporate application projects, ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards while managing project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Lead the development, customization, and enhancement of corporate applications, oversee the maintenance and support of existing applications, ensuring their reliability and performance as well as ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop the corporate applications team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and challenges. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of application capabilities and limitations.
  • Vendor Management, manage relationships with software vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring the best value and service for the organization.
  • Stay informed of emerging technology trends and best practices in corporate applications. Recommend and drive the implementation of new technologies and improvements to enhance business efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance of applications and implement advanced security protocols to protect sensitive data to achieve minimal downtime, high user satisfaction, and maintain a zero-breach security record.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for assigned applications performance and security to maintain high standards of system performance and security and use KPIs for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee departmental performance, develop KPIs, and provide regular feedback, training, and guidance to staff to Enhance department efficiency and employee development, and align performance with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain SOPs and policies and develop service level agreements to ensure standardized and efficient operations and maintain high service quality and adherence to standards within the department.

Job Requirement

Education

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience

  • 10 Years of Experience

Computer Skills

  • MS Office Suite
  • Proven experience in managing corporate applications within a retail or similar environment.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in leading large-scale IT projects.
