Job Description

Global Market Operations team of the entity Merrill Lynch Securities Taiwan supports the full cycle of pre- and post-trade processes in Taiwan listed equities and futures market, providing premium services to internal and external clients of Bank of America.

This is a 6 months contractor role responsible for providing the day-to-day processing of clearing and settlement of securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives transactions across multiple lines of business through the lifecycle of a trade. Job expectations include maintaining a high degree of accuracy with customers and data to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily trade processing and clearing across Exchanges, custodians, and internal books and records systems.
• Execute settlement instructions and margin activities.
• Assist in monitoring trade status and resolving exceptions such as failed trades and breaks
• Support buy-in avoidance and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Timely response to client and internal queries and communication.

• Assist with regulatory and client reporting requirements. Requirements

• Possess valid Securities specialist and Futures Specialist certificates issued by Taiwan Securities Associations and Chinese National Futures associations.

• Presentable, confident and client focused. Client facing experience or ability to conduct discussions with Clients in a confident manner.
• Excellent communications skills in Mandarin and English and ability to present to an audience.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
• Previous experience in Taiwan equities and futures market is value-added.
• Knowledge of Operational Risk, Client Money Protection and Funding.

• Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to operational processes. Other Qualifications
