The Role

Every successful customer partnership begins with identifying opportunities, building meaningful relationships, and creating solutions that deliver value. As a Contract Logistics Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving business growth by supporting the development of both existing and new customer opportunities across our Contract Logistics business.

You'll combine commercial insight with customer engagement expertise to identify prospects, support business development initiatives, and coordinate activities that strengthen our market position. From managing pipeline opportunities and preparing customer proposals to supporting marketing initiatives and market intelligence activities, you'll help create new opportunities that contribute to long-term business success.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth: Support the development of new and existing Contract Logistics opportunities, ensuring pipeline activities are managed effectively and in accordance with the Customer Engagement Cycle.
• Strengthen partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support business development objectives and customer growth.
• Deliver solutions: Support the creation of high-quality business proposals, presentations, quotations, and customer documentation that address customer requirements and business objectives.
• Collaborate internally: Work closely with commercial, operational, and support teams to coordinate business development activities and ensure alignment across functions.
• Achieve business objectives: Support the execution of annual business development plans and contribute towards achieving growth targets within the assigned vertical.
• Market insight: Capture, analyse, and manage business and market intelligence to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for strategic growth.
• Customer excellence: Coordinate customer engagement activities, marketing initiatives, and promotional events that strengthen brand presence and enhance customer experiences.

Requirements

• Experience preparing quotations, RFP responses, sales proposals, and customer documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in client prospecting, cold calling, and managing customer or account portfolios.
• Good understanding of sales processes, customer engagement activities, and business development practices.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
