Why join us
Joining Zest, Sainsbury’s in-house creative agency, as a Content Creator means becoming part of a collaborative, fast-moving creative environment where you’ll help shape engaging, platform-native social content for one of the UK’s most recognised food brands. Working closely with the Zest social team, Sainsbury’s Digital Marketing team, food economists, the food innovation team and our in-house studio, you’ll create content that brings recipes, trends and social-first ideas to life quickly and effectively. Be part of a dynamic and inclusive team that values creativity, curiosity, collaboration and continuous learning, with the resources and support needed to develop your craft and deliver high-quality work.
What you’ll do
As a Content Creator at Zest, you will be responsible for developing disruptive, engaging and social-first content that resonates with Sainsbury’s audiences and enhances brand visibility across key platforms, primarily Instagram and TikTok. You’ll work across recipe-led ideas, lo-fi food content, emerging trends and reactive social opportunities, turning references and inspiration into content that feels native, relevant and on-brand.
You’ll attend briefings, identify creative opportunities, develop ideas, create storyboards, shot lists and simple treatment documents, and present content routes clearly to internal stakeholders and clients. You’ll shoot and edit short-form content on iPhone using tools such as CapCut, with a strong understanding of how to make content feel authentic, immediate and platform-native.
Collaborating closely with the Zest social team, Sainsbury’s Digital Marketing team, food economists and the food innovation team, you’ll help identify trends and turn them into content quickly. You’ll also work with our in-house studio team, food stylists, photographers, videographers and larger production teams on higher-production projects, ensuring social-first thinking is embedded from concept through to delivery.
Who you are
You’re a hands-on content creator with a strong understanding of social platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, and the ability to create content that feels native to each channel. You’re confident shooting and editing lo-fi content on iPhone, responding quickly to briefs and trends, and turning ideas into polished, engaging short-form content.
You’re curious, proactive and collaborative, with an interest in food and ideally experience creating content for food brands. You’re comfortable working with creative, production, studio and digital marketing teams, as well as presenting ideas and content routes to stakeholders. With strong communication skills, adaptability and a passion for continuous learning, you’re committed to delivering high-quality, on-brand content that inspires and engages audiences.
