Infinite Energy \| Carlow town \| Full-time, on-site with field travel
About Infinite Energy
Infinite Energy is a solar PV company based in Carlow. We install across Leinster and the south-east, and are a well established, rapidly growing solar company.
The business is built on electrical engineering. Every system is designed, specified and signed off by people who understand the load, the roof and the grid connection. That is a good story, and almost none of it is on film.
The role
Make Infinite Energy the most visible solar installer in the south-east by turning real installs, real customers and real engineering into video, photography and written content that runs every week without being chased.
That is what this job does. The website, the social channels, the referral engine and the material the sales team carries into a kitchen — all of it comes from this seat.
This is a production role, not a strategy role. The output is content, shipped on a schedule.
Video — about half the job
- Film on site at installs across Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Kildare and Dublin. Expect two to three shoot days a week, most of them out of the office.
- Cut short-form vertical video for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts: install timelapses, before and after, engineer explainers, what a 7.14 kWp system actually does to a bill.
- Film and edit customer testimonials. These are the highest-value asset the sales team has and there are nowhere near enough of them.
- Produce longer pieces two or three times a year: company film, system explainer, recruitment video.
- Own the full chain. Shoot, edit, grade, subtitle, export to spec for each platform. Nobody is editing behind you.
Photography — about a fifth
- Build a proper library of install photography: roof work, array detail, inverter and battery installs, crews at work, finished systems in situ.
- Shoot customer and team portraits, van and site photography, and product shots of GoodWe and Sigenergy hardware.
- Keep the library tagged and organised so sales, quoting and web can pull from it without asking you.
Written content — about a third
- Website copy: service pages, county and area pages, case studies.
- Case studies built from completed installs. System size, what the customer was paying before, what they pay now, what the engineering decision was and why.
- Blog and SEO articles on grants, SEAI, battery storage, export tariffs and system sizing.
- Email content for the customer and prospect lists.
- Social captions, ad copy support, and copy for sales collateral.
What the job is judged on
Alongside the three disciplines you keep the calendar, get written release consent from customers before filming or photographing their home, and report monthly on what was published and what it did — reach, engagement, video views, website sessions, form fills.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Two to four years producing content in-house or at an agency, with a reel and a writing portfolio you can show. The reel matters more than the CV.
- Able to shoot and edit alone. Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop or Lightroom, and comfortable on a camera in bad Irish weather on a roof-adjacent site.
- Able to write clean, plain English without being rewritten. This is where most video-first candidates fall down, and we test it at interview with a short written exercise.
- Full clean driving licence and own car. The work is on sites across the south-east and Leinster.
- Comfortable around trades. You will be on live construction sites asking busy electricians to do something twice.
Useful, not required
- Construction, home improvement, renewables or another considered-purchase B2C category.
- Drone licence, or willing to train for one. Aerial install footage is worth having and we do not have it.
- Basic motion graphics.
- Some understanding of how local search works for a county-by-county service business.
What we provide
- Camera body, lens
- Adobe Creative Cloud or DaVinci Resolve Studio licence.
- Company contribution to drone training and licensing where relevant.
- Access to every install, every crew and every customer relationship in the business. There is a large amount of unfilmed, unphotographed work happening every week, and no queue in front of you to get at it.
Terms and how to apply
- Full-time, permanent. Carlow town base, on site at the office, with regular travel to installs.
- Some flexibility on hours where a shoot runs long or an install starts early.
- Mileage for site travel.
- 21 days annual leave plus public holidays (confirm against current company policy).
Pay: €34,000.00-€38,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Carlow, County Carlow
