Mitchell Installations Ltd is an Industrial Mechanical Contractor and we are looking to hire a Project Coordinator to join our team at our Burnaby, BC office.
The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team and is responsible for organizing and controlling project deliverables, planning, execution, documents and files.
This position is a permanent full time position, and ideally will function as a path toward a Project Management position for candidates who demonstrate strong technical, organizational and leadership abilities.
Duties:
- Read and become thoroughly familiar with all project documentation and drawings.
- Create, maintain, submit and track RFI’s.
- Prepare and submit material and equipment submittal packages for client review and approval.
- Work with field supervisors to provide them with the most up-to-date drawings and specifications.
- Prepare work plans (safety, environmental, etc.) for field work that requires client approval, and track and follow up after submission to client.
- Communicate relevant project information to the Project Manager and Project Supervisor
- Participate in weekly/monthly progress meetings with the client project team.
- Ensure that the project team is advised of the latest information, and update the project folders as new and/or revised information is issued by the client.
- Review customer correspondence and assist the project team in preparing responses.
- Communicate with subcontractors in order to schedule their work and ensure that the necessary documentation has been obtained from them.
- Track & manage field instructions, change notices and change orders
- Ensure all required project documents are organized to ensure a complete package is ready at the end of the project, for submission to the client.
- Communicate ideas for improving company processes.
- Attend meetings with our project team and client to provide input and updates on the areas that you are actively working on.
Requirements:
- Experience with industrial mechanical construction or a demonstrated aptitude toward learning in this field.
- Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction coordination experience, or construction trades experience would be a definite asset.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite of products & Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and AutoCAD is an asset.
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English and competent in writing and grammar
- Ability to follow instructions as well as work independently
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
