Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in coordination with project managers and site teams.
  • Prepare baseline programs, detailed work schedules, and project execution plans.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays or potential schedule risks.
  • Collect progress information from site teams and update project schedules accordingly.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
  • Analyze planned versus actual progress and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones, critical activities, resources, and deliverables.
  • Identify the critical path and monitor activities that may affect project completion.
  • Prepare recovery programs and revised schedules when projects experience delays.
  • Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis documentation when required.
  • Monitor subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with the overall project program.
  • Review project work sequences and coordinate activities with construction teams.
  • Prepare progress tracking reports, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and other planning reports.
  • Maintain proper records of project progress, schedule updates, and planning documentation.
  • Attend project progress meetings and provide schedule-related updates and recommendations.
  • Ensure project planning activities are aligned with contractual requirements and approved project schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
  • GCC experience is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman is preferred.
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 is required.
  • Good knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and project controls.
  • Experience with baseline schedules, resource loading, critical path analysis, and schedule updates.
  • Knowledge of delay analysis, recovery schedules, and EOT documentation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Must be locally available in Bahrain.
  • Immediate joiner is preferred.
