  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 year of experience in public relations, media relations, or internal and executive communications with technology products or services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of digital advertising and streaming landscape and an established media relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively, cross-functionally and creatively to overcome problems.
  • Ability to plan and execute on multiple projects at the same time in a changing environment.
  • Ability to translate complex product launches into simple narratives understandable by business and trade press.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Ads Comms team works within GCPA (Global Communications and Public Affairs). In this role, you will combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators.

As a member of Ads Comms, you will be responsible for managing several strategic YouTube ads product areas. Our products are going through a huge cycle of innovation in a very engaged landscape while YouTube as a platform continues to evolve and grow. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with internal partners across PR, marketing, product and and with media outlets and influencers. You will have the opportunity to shape communications and help businesses grow and succeed. On a daily basis, you’ll be responsible for building and managing relationships with members of the media. It's our job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders-and our own employees-about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees. Things happen quickly at Google and to get stuff done here you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally and isn't hesitant to take risks or try new things.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Partner cross-functionally with product and business leads to craft persuasive and impactful brand narratives.
  • Develop comprehensive media strategies and tailored positioning for YouTube ads products across stakeholder groups.
  • Cultivate and sustain high-value partnerships with trade media, key opinion formers, and industry influencers.
  • Draft a variety of communications materials, including blog posts, talking points, question and answers (Q\&As), and social media posts.
  • Provide strategic coaching and preparation for leadership ahead of high-visibility press and media opportunities.
