THE ROLE
The Senior Communication Manager MEA \& Turkey is responsible for locally executing, and optimizing Wella Company’s communications and digital activation strategy across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.
The role owns media planning, digital activation, and advocacy programs, ensuring locally resonant storytelling that elevates Wella’s brand equity, drives consumer engagement, and supports business growth across diverse markets.
This role collaborates closely with global category teams, regional marketing, local market leadership, and external agencies to deliver high‑impact campaigns, consistent brand presence, and measurable performance across all paid, owned, and earned channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Planning \& Digital Activation * Execute the region’s annual and campaign-based media plans in alignment with brand priorities and commercial objectives. * Lead digital activation, including paid social, programmatic, search, and retailer media, ensuring channel mix efficiency and performance optimization. * Ensure locally relevant storytelling that reflects consumer insights, cultural nuances, and competitive landscapes. * Partner with agencies to track KPIs, optimize in real time, and deliver strong returns on media investments. * Oversee regional measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting to assess performance and guide decision-making. * Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and global content strategies.
Advocacy \& Influencer Leadership * Lead regional advocacy strategy across MEA, Turkey, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and market needs. * Build and nurture long-term partnerships with influencers, beauty professionals, brand ambassadors, and trendsetters. * Oversee identification, vetting, contracting, and management of influencers in collaboration with local market teams. * Ensure advocacy content is authentic, on-brand, and optimized for social platform algorithms and trends. * Track and report on advocacy ROI, engagement, and campaign performance.
Integrated Campaign Development * Localize and adapt global assets into regionally relevant multi-channel campaigns. * Partner with creative, media, and social agencies to deliver world-class 360° communication plans. * Support markets in executing launches, hero campaigns, and always-on activities. * Ensure consistency of messaging and brand identity across all touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with regional and market marketing teams, eCommerce, Sales, Education, and Corporate Communications to ensure aligned storytelling. * Serve as the regional point of contact for global comms and brand teams, providing insights and needs from the MEA \& Turkey region. * Lead capability-building sessions for markets on media strategy, advocacy, influencer management, and digital best practices.
Budget \& Vendor Management * Manage media and advocacy budgets across the region, ensuring cost efficiency and effective allocation of investments. * Oversee agency and vendor relationships (media, influencer agencies, creative partners). * Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in processes and partnerships.
