Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP) in production.
- Strong fundamentals in Linux and networking (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewall concepts).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform preferred; provider-native acceptable).
- Experience with CI/CD and automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of IAM, authentication/authorization, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring/observability and incident troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with databases/data services and their operational considerations (backups, scaling, migrations).
Preferred qualifications
- Experience across more than one cloud provider (multi-cloud/hybrid).
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or managed container services.
- Experience with data platforms (ETL/ELT, warehousing, streaming) relevant to the business.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, capacity planning, and service reliability concepts.
- Experience with enterprise networking/hybrid connectivity (VPN, private links, gateways).
- Certifications for one or more clouds (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP) if applicable.
Skills and competencies
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause thinking.
- Automation-first mindset and ability to standardize platforms.
- Clear communication with application and operations teams.
