Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and highly organised CLinical Lead to support the effective day-to-day management of our care home. This key role involves working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care that meets regulatory standards.

The Clinical Lead will lead and support care staff, promote best practice, ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, and help maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to dignity, respect, and continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.

Duties

  • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management and operation of the care home
  • Supervise, mentor, and support care staff to ensure high standards of care and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure person-centred care plans are developed, reviewed, and implemented effectively
  • Monitor safeguarding practices and respond appropriately to concerns or incidents
  • Promote a safe environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Manage and respond to incidents, complaints, and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
  • Conduct staff supervisions, spot checks, and assist with training and development
  • Support medication management in line with company policy and regulatory guidance
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with CQC requirements
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure continuity of care
  • Assist with audits, quality assurance, and service improvement initiatives
  • Act as Manager in their absence when required

Qualifications \& Experience

  • Registered with the NMC
  • Proven experience in a senior nurse role ( or similar)
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills within a care home or healthcare setting
  • Sound knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and health \& safety regulations
  • Experience in care planning, risk assessments, and incident reporting
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Calm, confident, and professional approach to managing challenging situations
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on-call duties as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £19.50-£24.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
