Job Title and Grade: Clinical Lead (Ceannaire Cliniciúil) National Gender Healthcare Programme
Minimum of 0.5WTE is required, and up to a maximum of 0.8WTE for a two-year period.
This appointment will be on the basis of grade-to-grade reassignment/secondment and current remuneration will apply.
Terms and Conditions: The successful candidate will retain all current terms and conditions (including remuneration and annual leave) on reassignment/secondment into the role.
The standard working week associated with this post is a minimum of 0.5 WTE, up to a maximum of 0.8 WTE per week, Monday to Friday. (Specific working days to be agreed on appointment). Clinical Practice will be facilitated.

Clinical Design \& Innovation \| Chief Clinical Officer Function
The CCO function is responsible for the development and assurance of national clinical standards and pathways, quality and patient safety approaches and leads on the development and delivery of clinical strategies and nationally mandated programmes. The CCO supports the Health Regions, working with clinical leadership and management structures, to support performance/improvement initiatives, leading clinical change and promoting integrated, patient-centred care while providing assurance to the CEO.
The CCO function will provide significant input into planning, reporting and performance management processes, contributing clinical expertise, insight and guidance around specific care groups/clinical services and various clinical matters.
NCAGL Structure: The core role of the Office of the NCAGL for Children and Young People is to provide clinical leadership and guidance to effect the development and implementation of best practice care pathways and models of care and a coordinated approach to integrated, patient-centred care that is sustainable into the future.
Details of the Programme: Gender Healthcare Programme
The HSE has established a National Clinical Programme for Gender Healthcare to develop an updated clinical model of care for gender healthcare services to meet the needs of the Irish population. The HSE model of care will be informed by clinical evidence and those with lived experience and will prepare a care pathway for our Irish patients from childhood to adulthood. It will support the doctors, nurses and health and social care professionals (HSCPs) who work in gender healthcare. On completion of the model of care, there will be a need to support and lead on national implementation of the new model.
Reporting Relationships: The post holder will report to the NCAGL for Children \& Young People, or other nominated designee. Liaise with the relevant General Manager relating to the management and operation of the reassignment / secondment. To be advised on appointment.
Key Working Relationships: The execution of duties will involve the development of communication arrangements with key stakeholders, both internal and external. These include, but are not limited:
Purpose of the Post: The post holder will be responsible for ongoing planning to support implementation of the MoC and support development of gender healthcare services which may include overseas partners.
The Clinical Lead will explore collaborative, international research programmes as part of the effort to develop evidence and inform ongoing clinical practice. In addition explore the development of a registry for all ages to better understand the condition and the impact of interventions.
