Harbison Overview
Harbison is a charitable, community-owned, not-for-profit organisation that provides residential and non-residential care and support services for aged or disabled people, including a range of support services and systems to assist aged and disabled people to achieve maximum independence and integration within a residential or community setting, education and training of professionals and other care providers, and activities which are incidental or conducive to these objectives.
Harbison offers community focused educational programs, such as its intergenerational program, and has added childcare services through its subsidiary, Harbison Early Learning Pty Ltd (HEL) to its portfolio of programs. HEL is an approved childcare provider.
Currently, Harbison is an approved aged care provider, retirement village owner, and one of the largest employers in the Southern Highlands. Harbison is governed by a Board of Directors which appoints a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is delegated with day-to-day responsibility for the organisation.
Primary Purpose of the Role
The Clinical Educator provides strategic leadership for clinical education, workforce capability and competency across both residential care and community care at Harbison. The role is responsible for ensuring that education programs support the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based and person-centred care that meets the requirements of the Aged Care Act 2024, the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and other relevant legislation and professional standards.
Working collaboratively with operational leaders, the Clinical Educator develops and oversees a contemporary clinical education framework that supports the ongoing development of a capable, confident and competent workforce. The role ensures education is informed by organisational priorities, quality and clinical governance data, emerging evidence and best practice.
The Clinical Educator provides professional leadership to the Workplace Trainer and works closely with managers and subject matter experts to ensure learning is translated into everyday practice. Success in this role is demonstrated through improved workforce capability, measurable improvements in care quality, positive consumer outcomes and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Pay: $60.00 – $61.39 per hour
