Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural design, analysis, and supervision of building and infrastructure projects, a sound understanding of Bahrain’s construction standards and regulations, and the ability to manage structural engineering works from design through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, analyze, and supervise structural works for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other structures in accordance with applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Ensure compliance with Bahrain’s construction regulations, building codes, and relevant authority requirements.
- Review structural drawings, design calculations, specifications, reinforcement details, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure timely project approvals and execution.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress, construction quality, and compliance with approved drawings and safety standards.
- Review structural shop drawings, reinforcement detailing, and construction method statements.
- Resolve structural design issues and provide technical solutions to site-related challenges.
- Prepare structural design reports, technical submissions, and project progress updates.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.
- Manage project deliverables, design coordination, and deadlines effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably within Bahrain.
- Must be registered with CRPEP (Category C or above).
- Bahraini candidates are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, analysis methods, and applicable international design codes and standards.
- Familiarity with Bahrain’s construction regulations, permitting procedures, and local authority approval processes.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent tools.
- Proven experience in structural design, technical coordination, site supervision, and project execution.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
