MMUP-certified Civil Engineer responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing civil construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, Qatar construction standards, and applicable regulations. Responsible for ensuring quality, safety, timely completion, and proper coordination between consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily civil construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure construction works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Review architectural, structural, and civil drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved schedule.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
- Prepare and review RFIs, material submittals, inspection requests, method statements, and technical documentation.
- Identify site issues and coordinate appropriate technical solutions.
- Verify quantities and monitor materials used in construction works.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Qatar construction regulations, standards, and authority requirements.
- Monitor concrete works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, excavation, backfilling, and other civil works.
- Coordinate testing and inspection activities and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor subcontractors' performance and workmanship.
- Assist with quantity measurements, variation orders, and project cost control.
- Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve construction issues.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, approvals, inspections, and project documentation.
- Ensure works are completed and handed over in accordance with approved requirements.
Qualifications \& Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Valid MMUP/UPDA registration or certification in Qatar.
- Relevant experience in civil construction projects in Qatar.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and site practices.
- Knowledge of Qatar construction standards and authority requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong site supervision, coordination, and communication skills.
- Valid Qatar driving license is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities effectively.
