The Role
You will work mainly on the factory floor as the communication link between our Chinese management team,and labour workers, and the rest of the staff. Your job is to make sure instructions, safety rules, and daily operations are clearly understood by everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate work instructions, production plans, and daily tasks so they are clearly understood
- Communicate health and safety rules, procedures, and warnings to Chinese workers accurately
- Assist during meetings, trainings, and briefings between management and workers
- Help resolve misunderstandings, workplace issues, and concerns raised by workers or management
- Translate written materials such as notices, reports, technical documents, and equipment manuals
- Support Chinese staff with day-to-day matters.
- Assist the procurement team with supplier communication when needed
Requirements
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
- Previous experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a factory or industrial environment
- Currently based in the UAE
- Comfortable working on the factory floor in an industrial setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with both management and workers
- Patient, professional, and able to stay calm in a busy work environment
Preferred
- General knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes
- Familiarity with the steel industry or technical/industrial terminology
- Arabic language skills are a plus
- Available to join immediately or within a maximum of one month
