What you'll be doing
As a Child and Family Health Registered Nurse, you will provide advanced, evidence-based care to families with infants and young children, promoting optimal growth, development and wellbeing.* Conduct comprehensive child health, development and psychosocial assessments * Deliver strength-based care, education and guidance to parents and carers * Use evidence-based screening tools to identify risks and plan interventions * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services for coordinated care * Contribute to quality improvement, documentation and best practice standards

Selection Criteria: 1. Postgraduate qualification relevant to performing the role of a Child and Family Health Nurse, or currently enrolled in a tertiary course with completion date within 12 months of employment. 2. Evidence of post registration experience working with families and young children; including those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds 3. Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence based practice. 4. Demonstrated experience in assessment of the physical, social and emotional needs of children, and their families. 5. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care. 6. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications and a commitment to undertaking training in electronic health record systems 7. Demonstrate effective verbal, written communication and negotiation skills. 8. Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes. Requisition ID: REQ672513
