What you'll be doing

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and deliver specialised care to families with complex perinatal and psychosocial needs, while strengthening team capability and service quality.* Deliver advanced assessments, interventions and care planning for perinatal clients * Provide expert consultation and clinical leadership across Child \& Family Health teams * Coordinate care and manage complex cases with a high level of autonomy * Mentor and support staff, promoting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement * Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure integrated, patient-centred care

Essential Criteria:* License: NSW Class C driver's license. * Qualification: Postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing and postgraduate certificate in Perinatal and Infant mental health or working towards with completion within 12 months of employment. * Registration: Current enrolment with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Division 1

Selection Criteria: 1. Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division plus post graduate qualifications in child and family health nursing with at least 3 years fulltime equivalent clinical experience and postgraduate certificate in Perinatal and infant mental health or working towards with completion within 12 months of employment. 2. Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. 3. Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and expertise and ability to provide complex care planning for children and their families with psychosocial or emotional vulnerabilities. 4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team. 5. Demonstrated clinical expertise, and the ability to lead and foster innovation and quality improvement to enhance care provision within child and family health models of care and service delivery. 6. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership including education and skill development within the specialty of child and family health during the Perinatal period 7. Highly developed communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) including proficiency in clinical documentation and use of information technology. 8. Advanced assessment and identification of risk, vulnerability, and safety concerns for children and young people and skilled application of mandatory reporting requirements, risk of significant harm (ROSH) assessments, and documentation.
