The Opportunity

Boundaryline is New Zealand’s fencing, gates and screening specialist - supplying high-quality aluminium, steel and timber boundary systems to homeowners, architects, builders, developers and trade customers nationwide. With a strong brand, loyal trade relationships and ambitious growth plans, the business is entering its next phase of operational maturity.

To support that next stage, Boundaryline is appointing a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with full accountability for supply chain, warehousing, light manufacturing and customer service execution across New Zealand.
This is a genuine executive mandate. You will take ownership of how product moves through the business — from offshore sourcing and inbound freight, through warehousing and light manufacturing, to final delivery to customers nationwide.

Based on-site in Invercargill, Christchurch, Auckland or Central Otago, this is a visible, hands-on leadership role with national scope. You’ll spend time on the floor, in the warehouse and across operational sites, as well as at the leadership table, leading from the front and raising standards through clarity, discipline and follow-through.

What You’ll Bring

You will be an experienced operational executive from a durable goods, wholesale, distribution or manufacturing environment, with deep exposure to warehouse and logistics-led business models.
You will likely bring:

• Senior leadership experience across operations including warehousing, logistics, supply chain and operational delivery
• A proven track record in inventory optimisation, stock turn improvement and working capital management
• Experience implementing or optimising ERP / WMS systems and embedding structured planning disciplines
• Confidence leading multi-site operational teams with clear performance cadence and accountability
• A practical understanding of offshore sourcing, inbound freight and long-lead supply chains
• Executive-level ownership of service performance, cost control and operational outcomes

With the majority of Boundaryline’s workforce operating in warehousing, logistics and light manufacturing environments, Health & Safety leadership is central to this role. You must demonstrate:

• Visible and proactive Health & Safety leadership
• Experience embedding safe systems of work and risk management across operational sites
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in warehouse and manufacturing settings
• The ability to build a safety culture grounded in ownership, awareness and daily discipline

This is not a theoretical strategy role. It is a delivery role. You will be comfortable balancing cost, service, availability and margin — making clear trade-offs and driving consistent execution across the business.
