*Chief Accountant*
*Key Responsibilities*
Manage the full accounting cycle, including the general ledger and month-end/year-end closing.
Supervise the accounts payable function to ensure the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
Manage the accounts receivable function, including customer invoicing, receipts, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Prepare and process payroll through the Qatar WPS system, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and periodic verification.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and liquidity.
Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports for management.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities on financial matters.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, tax requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
Supervise, mentor, and support the accounting team while driving continuous process improvements.
*Requirements*
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or Chief Accountant role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Tally ERP and Microsoft
Hands-on experience with Qatar WPS payroll processing, fixed asset management, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and audit coordination.
Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Knowledge of Qatar financial regulations and taxation requirements is preferred.
