Chemistry Tutor

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Chemistry Tutor to support students in understanding chemistry concepts and improving academic performance. The tutor will provide individualized or small-group instruction, assist with coursework and exam preparation, and help students build confidence in chemistry-related subjects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in chemistry
• Explain chemistry concepts clearly, including:
• General Chemistry
• Organic Chemistry
• Biochemistry (if applicable)
• Physical Chemistry (if applicable)
• Assist students with homework, lab reports, assignments, and exam preparation
• Develop lesson plans and practice materials tailored to student needs
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning
• Maintain a supportive and professional learning environment
• Communicate with parents, teachers, or academic coordinators when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory concepts
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, adaptability, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with high school or college chemistry curricula
• Experience with online tutoring platforms and digital learning tools
• Ability to motivate and engage students with different learning styles
• Time management and lesson-planning abilities

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
