Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food items, including sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, desserts, and other menu offerings, while maintaining excellent food quality, hygiene, and kitchen organization standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Manage daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared and stocked before service.
- Prepare a variety of dishes, including sandwiches, salads, pasta, desserts, and light meals.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Minimize food wastage and follow proper storage procedures.
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries when required.
- Support menu development and contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal specials.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations.
- Train and assist junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie experience in a café, casual dining restaurant, hotel, or similar environment.
- Experience preparing sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, desserts, and bakery items is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist in multiple kitchen areas.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
