The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) Cervical Screening provides coordination of cervical screening activities for the Southern District Cervical Screening Team, to ensure delivery of the cervical screening programme is safe, equitable, efficient and effective.
The CNC is a designated senior nursing role that will contribute to leadership, supervision and coaching of Cervical Screeners working in the community, and within the Southern District Cervical Screening Team, but does not have any formal delegated management authority. The CNC uses clinical expertise to support effective nursing care.
The CNC Cervical Screening is responsible for coordinating cervical screening delivery that contributes to the achievement of health goals and targets led by the National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP), to reduce cervical cancer and related HPV cancers. The CNC Cervical Screening will ensure high-quality cervical screening through planning, coordination, education, data analysis and application of health promotion principles. The CNC will support delivery of services in accordance with the service specifications and standards set out by the Ministry of Health and the National Cervical Screening Programme.

You're passionate about improving health inequities and women's health, with excellent customer service and communication skills. You bring cultural awareness, uphold the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, and have experience working with whānau and communities. Flexible and innovative, you collaborate effectively with Māori communities, primary care staff, and stakeholders in a whānau-centric way. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and strong organisational abilities round out your profile.
