Chef de Partie (CDP)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a designated kitchen section, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the assigned kitchen section efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
  • Monitor daily mise en place and production requirements.
  • Supervise and support Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with company policies and HACCP requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products.
  • Assist in inventory control, stock management, and minimizing food wastage.
  • Coordinate with Sous Chefs, Head Chefs, and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance requirements, and operational concerns promptly.
  • Support menu development and continuous improvement initiatives when required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie (CDP) or Senior Commis Chef in a restaurant, café, bakery, hotel, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and culinary standards.
  • Ability to manage a designated section independently during service.
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate junior team members.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or a related field.
  • Experience in international cuisine, café operations, bakery production, or dessert-focused environments is an advantage.
  • Experience working in high-volume hospitality operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and kitchen cost control practices.

Pay: KD320.000 per month
