Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer with a manual transmission, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to route driving best practices
• Deliver freight to designated local destinations, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of hazardous materials or dangerous goods if applicable
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to coordinate pickups and drop-offs

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; Minimum experience operating tractor-trailers 1 year.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving within local areas
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols
• Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks or dump trucks is a plus but not required
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and freight security standards
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and warehouse teams
