We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist who values teamwork, person-centred practice, and making a meaningful difference in the care and outcomes of people presenting in crisis.About the Opportunity The ED MHT Clinical Nurse Specialist will work as part of a broader clinical team with the ED MHT Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC), ED MHT Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Registrars. The role will require collaboration with ED clinicians, PACER service, the Acute Care Team, Mental Health Inpatient Units and other community mental health teams. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 within the Emergency Department Mental Health Team, you will play a key role in delivering specialist mental health care, clinical leadership and support to patients presenting with complex mental health needs in a dynamic emergency care environment. In this role you will:* Provide advanced mental health assessment, triage and care coordination for patients presenting through the Emergency Department and other referral pathways. * Deliver specialist nursing care and develop comprehensive care plans that support positive patient outcomes. * Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and support to nursing and multidisciplinary teams. * Collaborate with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care. * Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development and evidence-based practice. * Support the Nurse Unit Manager and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in a fast-paced environment.

For more information about this role, please view the Position Description About You We are seeking an experienced and compassionate mental health clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting positive outcomes for patients experiencing mental health challenges. We are looking for someone who has:* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience in mental health nursing, or equivalent experience. * Demonstrated experience providing advanced mental health assessment, triage and specialist clinical care. * Strong clinical leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support and influence nursing practice. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams. * Proven ability to manage complex clinical situations, prioritise workloads and make sound clinical decisions. * A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and person-centred care aligned with NSW Health values.
