Community Outreach Program -

As a key driver to RSPCA Victoria’s vision to end animal cruelty, the Community Outreach team is instrumental in advancing statewide animal welfare standards, awareness and education through our vital community outreach programs.

If you love a balance of preventative medicine, client education and desexing - this could be a good fit for you!

Key Responsibilities include

  • Low Cost Vaccination clinics+ Healthy Pet Days

Providing on-the-ground support, setup, and clinical expertise for our low cost/no cost community programmes. * Cat Desexing

Performing desexing surgeries at the Pearcedale clinic, managing pre- and post-operative care, and maintaining accurate records. * Client Education

Delivering high-level customer service and education to the public to promote positive animal welfare outcomes and RSPCA Victoria’s services.

What We Are Looking For

  • A registered Veterinarian (with a microchipping licence), with a strong track record in surgery and clinical care.
  • Someone who is passionate about preventative care and improving access to vet care for all.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys public education and mentorship.
  • Experience with high-volume desexing is highly desirable.

Recruitment Requirements

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across Victoria to attend various Community Outreach activities, including Healthy Pet Days, Low-cost vaccination clinics and other community events, when required.
  • Valid and current driver’s licence
  • Valid and current tetanus vaccination
