Job Description

Key Responsibilities \& Duties

Customer Service \& Reception

  • Welcome and greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide information about menu items, prices, promotions, and special offers.
  • Assist customers with their selections and provide recommendations when required.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
  • Maintain a positive customer experience.

Cashier \& POS Operations

  • Operate the café POS system accurately.
  • Take dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders.
  • Process cash, card, and electronic payments.
  • Issue invoices/receipts and maintain transaction records.
  • Perform cash opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy of cash balance and report discrepancies.

Order Management

  • Record customer orders correctly and communicate them to kitchen/bar staff.
  • Ensure special requests and modifications are properly entered.
  • Follow up on order preparation and delivery to customers.
  • Coordinate between customers and operational staff to avoid delays.

Administrative \& Front Desk Duties

  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Manage reservations and customer waiting lists (if applicable).
  • Maintain customer records and daily reports.
  • Assist management with daily sales summaries and documentation.

Café Operations Support

  • Ensure cashier counter and reception area are clean and organized.
  • Check menu availability and inform customers about unavailable items.
  • Coordinate with baristas, kitchen team, and service staff.
  • Support daily café opening and closing activities.

Hygiene \& Safety Compliance

  • Follow café hygiene, food safety, and company procedures.
  • Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the front counter area.

Required Qualifications \& Skills

  • Previous experience as a cashier, receptionist, or café staff preferred.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Working Hours: Shift Based
Employment Type: Full Time / Part Time
Work Location: Café / Restaurant Environment

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
