Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to lead our cafe operations with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for the food service industry. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in hospitality, food handling, and team management is essential to succeed in this position.

Duties

  • Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety protocols.
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for transactions, cash handling, and reporting.
  • Lead team management activities including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate food preparation processes to ensure quality and timely delivery of orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
  • Implement operational policies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles, preferably within the food industry or hotel environment.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills required.
  • Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in team management.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically.
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and restaurant safety standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or barista roles is a plus; restaurant experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interview potential staff members effectively.
