CAD Designer (millwork & finish carpentry)

We are seeking a proficient CAD Designer with strong AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience to produce shop drawings for architectural millwork, rough carpentry, and interior projects.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of AutoCAD experience within the architectural millwork or woodworking industry.
• Ability to interpret and translate client information, sketches, and concepts into detailed working drawings.
• Proficiency in preparing and presenting design proposals and shop drawings.
• Participation in project and design meetings as required.
• Experience training and mentoring junior or less experienced team members.
• Ability to review, analyze, and coordinate drawings from other trades, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, with a focus on identifying and resolving design conflicts.
• Strong collaboration skills with project managers, site supervisors, and tradespeople.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work within project deadlines.
• Ability to create renderings, detailed breakdowns, and material take-off drawings for production and material ordering.
• Solid understanding of architectural woodwork construction methods, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while contributing positively as a team player.
