CNC Machine Operator \& Cabinet Maker (Kitchen Manufacturing)
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator \& Cabinet Maker to join our kitchen manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision-cut components using CNC machinery and assembling high-quality kitchen cabinets and fittings. This role requires both technical expertise with CNC equipment and hands-on craftsmanship in cabinet making.
Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Operation
- Set up, program, and operate CNC routers or machining centers to cut kitchen components (panels, doors, carcasses, etc.) to exact specifications.
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, cutting lists, and production schedules.
- Load materials, select tooling, and input or modify CNC programs as needed.
- Monitor machine performance and quality of output, making fine adjustments where necessary.
- Carry out routine maintenance and ensure CNC equipment is clean, calibrated, and safe to operate.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards before assembly.
Cabinet Making \& Assembly
- Assemble kitchen units, drawers, and components from machined parts, ensuring accurate alignment and fit.
- Install hinges, runners, handles, and other hardware with precision.
- Edge, laminate, and finish panels according to company standards.
- Ensure all products meet design and quality specifications before dispatch or installation.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to resolve technical or design issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop at all times.
Qualifications \& Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, Cabinet Maker, or Joiner within the kitchen, furniture, or joinery manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in operating CNC routers (e.g., Biesse, Homag, or similar) and working with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or WoodWOP.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, hardware fittings, and modern kitchen materials (e.g., MDF, MFC, solid wood, laminate, acrylic).
- Ability to read and interpret detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Experience using woodworking tools, power tools, and edge banding machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing premium-quality kitchen products.
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, or Wood Machining preferred.
- Good understanding of workshop safety standards and best practices.
