Position: Business Development Manager – Scaffolding & Shoring Systems
Location: Selangor
Our client is a well-established Malaysian company with over 20 years of industry experience, specializing in scaffolding, shoring systems, modular access solutions, and construction support products. They provide reliable and innovative solutions to contractors, developers, and infrastructure projects across Malaysia.
They are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, expand market presence, and develop long-term relationships within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow sales of modular scaffolding, shoring systems, and related construction solutions.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across building, infrastructure, industrial, and engineering projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, developers, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct client meetings, technical presentations, project discussions, and regular site visits.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and manage tender submissions.
- Monitor project pipelines, sales forecasts, and market developments to achieve revenue targets.
- Provide excellent customer support throughout the project lifecycle while identifying opportunities for repeat business.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of sales or business development experience within the modular scaffolding, shoring systems, formwork, construction materials, or related construction solutions industry.
- Proven success in generating new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to manage multiple customer accounts effectively.
- Ability to understand construction project requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
- Mandarin proficiency is preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
